I bought and watched the Alpha dvd of TALES OF FRANKENSTEIN last night and was wondering how Hammer got away with the flat top?
Not only that but there's clips from DRACULA and other Universal films.

btw~Not recommended even though Anton is great as usual..

Rare Hammer Columbia release aired yesterday ( in the UK ? ) and here are some screens I borrowed ( thanks to the original poster).
I have never seen it but Oliver Reed is always worth a look ( BRIGAND was his last for Hammer), along with his WEREWOLF co-star Yvonne Romain.

Christopher Lee Dracula T-shirt

Went to Target last week and found a glow in the dark "vampire" t-shirt for my toddler. The face on the shirt has an uncanny resemblance to Lee on the poster for Taste the Blood of Dracula. Price was good and my son loves it. I'll try to post a pic later.

Wayne Kinsey's A LIFE IN PICTURES ( limited to 2500 copies ) and Marcus Hearn's HAMMER GLAMOUR are 2 photo books that opt out on the endless dissection and evaluation of the movies hammer made, and focus instead on the women who helped sell them. I have them both on oder and cannot wait. . Anyone else getting ( or already have ) either of these?

Just watched this last week and it's a solid look at the movies and the people that made them. This is from Midnight Marquee Productions and available through Alpha ( read: for cheap ) and comes recommended for hardcore Hammer fans. Alot fo the information has been available before, but for the price you can't really go wrong.

Turner Classic dusts off this Hammer obscurity ( obscure for a very good reason ) this October for a back to back pairing with the 1932 original.
Currently listed as B & W ( per the US release ). I have not seen it for years and don't own a copy, so hopefully TCM gets a nice color print.

Little seen cat themed thriller made by Hammer ( despite rumors to the contrary ) that was handled by Universal-International has been sadly forgotten. I had little regard for it myself after watching a censored U-I tv print a few years ago finding it a tad too lighthearted. Hi, I just watched this. Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde. It was really good. I'd never seen it before. I like that actor who plays Dr Jekyll, he was the Dr in Revenge of Frankenstein too. Not a bad flick, the sister was pretty hot too, and shows her tatas.

I have a few Hammer soundtracks that were released on the GDI label, but my favorite has to be the SHE/THE VENGEANCE OF SHE combo. The later score, by Mario Nascimbene, is particularly lovely. Not "Hammerish" in the least. Infused with the mysteries of the desert, calm, relaxing, dreamy, wonderful.

I ordered this DVD from England, and it's pretty darn good--a review of Hammer's vampire films, with clips, interviews, etc. A bit shocking to see some of Hammer's key members looking so old nowadays, but, hey, that's the direction we all go in, if we survive that long. If you are into Hammer, you should definitely check this one out.

Has anyone had a chance to see this Documentary yet? It is fantastic. The interviews, never before behind the scenes films and the history and information provided along with extremely rare publicity shots are incredible. It is only available in the UK. A true must for Hammer fans. It shows a scene from Taste the Blood of Dracula in which looks to have Christopher Lee fall in full costume and get helped from the ground and brushed off.
