My ever thoughtful 12 year old stepson recently picked up an issue of Horrorhound for me while he was out with his dad. I found it placed under my pillow with a, "hope you like it!" letter attached. Good kid. I have never heard of this magazine before but I can tell you that it is one fun little package. Dark Horse recently released a hardcover archives reprinting Creepy 1 through 5. I'm pretty tempted to get this even though I already have issues 1 2 & 5. Anybody get this or take a peek at it?

Lately I've been getting into investigating the Shock! Theater phenomenon, which created a lot of monster kids in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The Shock! package was introduced to television stations across the country in 1957, and the rest is history. Hi. I am looking for two items. Back in the late 1970's there was the Crestwood House monster series books by Ian Thorne. Each book had a poster, that said read about the rest of my friends, or something along that line. I am looking for the Dracula poster which had artwork of Bela Lugosi as Dracula. Well, it looks good now that two issues of LITTLE SHOPPE OF HORRORS will come out in 2008. #20, first week of July, will have a front cover by Mark Maddox and back cover by Bruce Timm. The whole issue is SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN: THE UNCENSORED HISTORY OF AMICUS PRODUCTIONS by Philip Nutman.

Just a head's up. While perusing eBay, I came across postings for MONSTERS OF THE MOVIES issue #4 (from 1974). This mag has an article in it called "The Wolf Man of Spain" about Naschy.
I got the magazine originally when I was 8. I had seen both Frankenstein's Bloody Terror and Werewolf Vs. Vampire Woman at that point but it was the first time I became aware of who Naschy was...and that there was a boatload of Euro-Werewolf pics he made that I hadn't seen.

I was checking over my small collection of monster magazines when I stumbled across several MONSTER WORLD Magazines which was FAMOUS MONSTERS OF FILM LAND renamed for I believe 10 issues. Does anyone know why did Warren Publishing temporarily changed the name of this Holy Grail of horror magazines?

Given the state of magazine publishing, I was wondering what magazines that are currently being publishing will be remembered in future years.

I would say that three magazines jump to mind that were published that are currently legendary.
