			<description><![CDATA[ <p>Lately I&#39;ve been getting into investigating the Shock! Theater phenomenon, which created a lot of monster kids in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  The
Shock! package was introduced to television stations across the country in 1957, and the rest is history.  FAMOUS MONSTERS, which played a significant role in
the monster kid world, came out a year later and would probably never have been published (or thought of) if not for the success of the Shock! films.
