I have seen Dario Argento's GIALLO (2009), and I liked it. Unlike what some detractors claim, Argento's unmistakable fingerprints are all over it.
Plotwise it is like SILENCE OF THE LAMBS with all the mystery elements removed, and some torture added, leaving an extremely rudimentary serial-killer

walled up in the catacombs with a gold seal placed over the doors. In modern times (1988 or thereabouts), the visit of an American schoolteacher (Laura
Schaefer) coincides with a curious monk's excavation of the chamber in the catacombs which unleashes the demon and possesses the teacher. It is up to a

Kind of reminds me at times of Bava's Hatchet For The Honeymoon.

Another bonus is a fantastic soundtrack by Ennio Morricone.

There's a new dvd announced by German label PK Movies (English friendly) btw.

So far there have only been US releases on dvd: the oop US AB dvd is the one to get as the Lionsgate dvd is not so good.

It was directed by Dario Argento in 2006. I have to tell you that the film was the creepiest, most ghoulish, presentation
