			<description><![CDATA[ <font face="Trebuchet MS" size="2">I never got around to picking up a copy of the Image DVD, and now it&#39;s apparently out of print and selling for insane
prices on eBay and elsewhere. I can&#39;t even find it for rent any more, and I know I rented it once, either from Netflix or Movie Madness in Portland. The
other Image Rollin titles don&#39;t seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth in such a manner - why Fascination? I&#39;d really like to own an R1 DVD
of this film without it... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I just did a comparison between the old Image DVD and the Encore set.  Unlike Encore&#39;s otherwise exquisite set for RAPE OF THE VAMPIRE that stretched the
1.66:1 image to 1.78:1 instead of adding side mattes or cropping (never a good choice for a 1.66:1 film), Encore&#39;s 1.78:1 transfer actually reveals more
information on both sides than the 1.66:1 image transfer so it&#39;s neither cropped nor stretched.  The Image transfer is superior in respect to its cooler
tinting (the Encore image... ]]></description>

The film is somewhat reminiscent of &quot;The Vampires' Night Orgy,&quot; &quot;The Witch's Mountain,&quot; and &quot;Let Sleeping Corpses Lie&quot; in its use of rural settings to evoke a sense of isolation and menace.
