Due to the kindness of one our members, I was able to see this film. It plays like combo of Friday The 13th, and the Hershcll Gordon Lewis films
The film reminds me of a great Z film without a budget, yet it is effective. There is are many shots of the tops of trees blowing in the wind, and the killings are basically off camera, yet you know what is going on. The acting is terrible, and there is hardly any dialogue. I am proud that I have this film in my collection.. I will say that...

It is reported over at DVD Drive-in that Mondo Macabro will release SADIST WITH RED TEETH in the New Year.
I've never seen the film but i'm quite curious.

According to a little web research, the same director also directed this film, which apparently is a surrealistic horror film that makes little sense (but I don't always have a problem with that). Anyone know anything about it other than what IMDB has to say? It's on DVD in France. I'm guessing it's something along the lines of Jean Rollin's Iron Rose insofar as it doesn't seem to be straightforward "horror" but would appeal to those who dig their Euro...

Has anyone seen this film? That notorious CG received an upload today of the 1949 film, in French. Seems like a rather interesting movie of the character. Some discussion there too that some people will be posting the older films soon as well. How well does it stick to any original stories of Fantomas? Is it actually worth checking out?

This listing for an NTSC Spanish tape of FRISSON DES VAMPIRES (whose Spanish retitling translates as LIPS OF BLOOD even though it is not the later Rollin film) mentions that the Spanish version has some different music and alternate scenes. Does anyone know if the Spanish DVD is the same version or a newly dubbed edition?

Picked up Jeunet/Caro's DELICATESSEN on my birthday, the Special Edition dvd from Lions Gate (yes, it seems they've made the occasional HQ dvd). I finally started watching my Rollin's last night starting with La Vampire Nue on a Kult Films DVD and then the Harry Novak cut of Requiem for a Vampire called Caged Virgins on a tape by SWV. Fellas, is this movie as creepy as it looks, also known as II ETAIT UNE FOIS? I am always on the lookout for creepy and low budget horror films.
