It's more of a blue/green, sort of what I was shooting for, especially after I saw the color Karloff home movie.

The only one I could find was this pic that was used as a Halloween card we sent out several years ago, it's only shoulder-up shots with our Frankie and Wolf Man dummies cut and pasted over a castle photo.

Brown supermarket bag paper, sobo glue (yes again!) and Crayola's Model Magic on the surface. In those days, I could afford large amounts of materials to make things like this. Now, of course, things are different.

Here's a dummy head I did years ago of Glenn Strange's monster. It's still trotted out every 3 years as part of a life-size Frankie we put out on our porch every halloween season.

Yes by all means check it out, Bill -- the more eyeballs here the better. Didn't mean to suggest that it was a dummy, only that the presumed 'mask' that the HOF mannequin wore (the same mannequin seen encased in the ice, as Ted Newsom summed up in an earlier post, and looks in Cushing's frame grab kinda like it's...

It looks like an embalmed monster straight from a funeral home. The monster also looked like it was about to wake up when "friend" Daniel is whipping him with his belt. I guess that why he immediately attacks him when he finally gets off the table. A tortured monster never forgets.

Given that it's REAL electricity jumping over the Monster, I'd think the right guess is that it was always intended as a dummy shot. Unlike the similar shots in SON OF F and GHSOT OF F where the "electricity" business is cheated with camera angles, there's really an electrical arc zapping on the body here.

The debate went on and on over at CHFB, but the gist of the consensus was

1) Eddie Parker isn't in this film-- or GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN, of HOUSE OF DRACULA, or...

I know Glenn Strange carried a dummy of Karloff in the finale, but during the mad lab scene there was a dummy on the table. I had notice the monster looked different before and decided to get some screencaps today. Sure enough, that's not a person. Is there a reason a dummy was used instead of the actor?
My first thought was a safety issue with the electricity. I quickly discarded that theory since every other film has the monster hooked up with smoke and sparks coming from the electrode...
