Hey, anything to sell more copies! Maybe he's working on kissing Barb Steele's butt to get her to be in a movie....

Sounds interesting. Is there any information on this, anywhere? I'd love to upgrade my old Sinister Cinema VHS.

Actually, bgart, Barbara begged Tim to put her in "Sleepy Hollow". He would only have to ask her to be in his next film. I keep hoping he puts her in one for her swan song, like he did with Vincent Price in "Edward Scissorhands."
Now regarding the Raro release, I wonder how it will compare to the recent French release? Although it has no subs, the picture is beautiful. I guess I can find room for yet another Barbara Steele DVD in my collection. |

The company I work for has worked on this. The version I saw in preparation was the export print. We haven't prepared any extra features for it up to now, however. Though after the MURDER OBSESSION debacle, who knows if we will!

Quote: That's right. I had nearly forgotten about that. I still can't believe that Burton turned down Barbara Steele! "slaps head in amazement" Quote: Maybe a "cough cough" Barbara Steele commentary or interview "cough cough" Is there a release date yet? |

Quote: I like most of Tim Burtons stuff, PLANET OF THE APES aside. He is a fan of the classics, and it certainly shows in his work. BATMAN, SLEEPY HOLLOW, ED WOOD, are all a lot of fun, just to name a few. Brant |

A Barbara Steele commentary or interview from Raro? Nice idea, but highly unlikely. Babs would actually probably have to fly into Rome at her own expense, take her own video and recording equipment to their offices and say: "Ok, guys, I'll do this free and even pay for my own coffees." Knowing them, they'd probably make her to pay for their coffees too!
I think the most you could reasonably expect would be an interview with an Italian critic who makes at least one embarrassing mistake (See Raro's BARON BLOOD, but I actually corrected his goof in the subtitles. He calls CASTLE OF BLOOD "Ballata Macabra", which is the Italian title for BURNT OFFERINGS. I know I'm being picky, but he does this for a living for crying out loud!) They might also rope in someone who worked on the film in some capacity, however remote...or a relative of Margheriti's. |

Edoardo did an interview for that French DVD release from last year ...
