A film adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist's novel Handling the Undead (Hanteringen av odöda) is being developed by Stockholm-based Tre Vänner Produktion AB.
Here's a description of the novel Handling the Undead from London-based Quercus Publishing PLC: "Something very peculiar is happening in Stockholm. There's a heatwave on and people cannot turn their lights out or switch their appliances off. Then the terrible news breaks. In the city morgue, the dead are waking up... What do they want? What everybody wants: to come home. 'Handling the Undead' is a story about our greatest fear and about a love that defies death."
Tomas Alfredson's film Let the Right One In (Låt den rätte komma in) was based on Lindqvist's novel Låt den rätte komma in, which was published in the U.S. under the title "Let Me In", and in the U.K. and Australia under the title "Let the Right One In".
