Good promo. Lustig was supposed to close shop, but I guess Blu-Ray convinced him otherwise.

Vigilante in hi-def? My old stomping grounds of Greenpoint Brooklyn (home of the final car chase, where you can see
curious Poles standing on street corners watching speeding cars come way too close to them) in blu-ray glory? This may be the tipping point for me!

They all seem to be titles Lustig already had HD masters and DTS mixes for.

Even if it was I doubt I would triple-dip after already owning the old AB tin box & latest release.

I'll be interested when Blue Underground goes after new titles like Paul Naschy films and what the heck why not some Mexican horror flicks too but all this re-release crap is getting old as none of these films are worth double dipping Blu-Ray or not.

I think a lot of companies -- not just BU -- are being cautious with moving to the HD realm. Everyone seems to be re-releasing their old standby successful
releases. The small companies and the big companies too. Criterion is going to blu-ray, but no new titles, only re-releases (BRAZIL might be the tipping point
for me!).
Perhaps MANCHESTER MORGUE isn't among them as it is such a recent release -- maybe they want to make sure the dvd release sells ok first. Heck, I dunno. Ben |

Some of us didn't buy the MANCHESTER MORGUE remaster on DVD...

And I would suspect Lustig is pretty much closing up shop like he said he was in recent interviews...but titles he's still got rights and elements to
he's exploiting...I'd be (pleasantly) surprised to ever see another not-already released-title come from BU...

I didn't get MM, but want to. Still don't think I'll be picking up blu-ray any time soon. But that could change, as I got a job with the City of
Chicago (didn't even have to interview for it! I love this wacky world!).

Hey! This IS a gov't job (in Chicago, no less), so it's not like I'll be doing that much...
