I'm posting this also at the CHFB forum because we need to make Richard Klemensen a millionaire.
I received the new issue, No. 17, yesterday. I love this magazine. Richard Klemensen is a true original in horror film magazine/zine publishing, with an embracing love for the genre (not just Hammer) and a kindness and respect toward many of the differing parties in fandom.
100 pages of fine print, loaded with graphics, and a steal at $7.95, postpaid! (Order at www.littleshoppeofhorrors.com) This time out we get a thorough look at the filming of NIGHT CREATURES, with an equally thorough look at the source--the Russell Thorndike book series. Perfect timing for the recently released DVD. There's also a lot on the business of Hammer--fascinating stuff, as business is the base of almost every film being made. Reviews, latest Hammer updates, etc., are found within, as well as Richard's always must-read editorial, with the latest update on his life. I realize now that Klemensen created the blog before there was an internet!
