Skywald was an entirely different entity than Eerie Publications. They were a respectable rival of the Warren Publishing line, producing such titles as NIGHTMARE, PSYCHO, and SCREAM. Their unusual tagline was "The Horror-Mood," and they are even viewed by many as a superior alternative to Warren's offerings.
Right you are! I think I must've misread something on this site (along with the references to both magazines using reprinted material)
Looking back, it seems that the incident with the fake UFO story and the "artists being threatened with a gun" incident were from an Eerie publication and not Skywald. The "gargoyle eggs" and "shoggoth crusade" were pure Skywald, though.

This would more accurately apply to Eerie Publications than Skywald.
I'll take your word on that.

"Jenifer" was actually from one of Warren Publishing's magazines, CREEPY.
Agreed. Information on the original "Jenifer" was scarce at the time I did my original research, so I probably got screwed over by bad information. I suspect that the confusion stemmed from the writer of the story having worked for Skywald at one point.
Thanks for the kinds words and the corrections! Sadly, it looks like Kung Fu Fandom moved to a new domain, so I'll have to change all the links to my research there at some point in the future.
