Posts: 2596 (05/15/08 09:28:07) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I recall very little so I guess I didn't like it too much and kind of hard to believe it's been 18 years since it was released, so I may have to take a look at it again to refresh my memory. The film is based on an Edgar Allan Poe so it probably could be put into that folder, the movie's cast has some notable names like David McCallum, Lana Clarkson, Maria Ford and Nicole Eggert as Morella/Lenora. Posts: 371 (05/15/08 15:55:55) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I have the dvd; it's Jim Wynorski's affectionate tribute to the Corman Poe films, which means a lot more nudity and less production value...Lana Clarkson does have a supporting part and is involved in gratuitous nude scenes...Nicole Eggert is a real weak link in the lead role; David McCallum is fine. Worth a viewing and definitely worth it if you are in touch with the early Wynorski years (which are much better than the later Wynorski years), but don't expect too much. I actually saw this in the theatres, at the Flushing Quad in Queens, which always played Corman and other one week and out exploitation fare (RIVER OF DEATH and PURGATORY are two that come to mind I saw in the theatre...) "No one sleeps the sleep of the just unless the abuse of dreams rendering us powerfully helpless bottling up and unbottling renders a justice that restores us..."
