You would think that a successful young supermodel, with the world awaiting to be at her feet, would be the envy of many. If you'd see her on the
street and knew who she was, you'd think (probably) that there goes a very lucky girl, and might regret that you don't have the same access to a
similar lifestyle or are not the same age, starting out on life's great adventure.
Well, you would be wrong, because the young supermodel in question, 20-year-old Ruslana Korshunova, committed suicide the other day in New York by falling nine
stories from her downtown NY apartment.
Which brings up something I've known for a long time, but something that's always good to remember: One can be very wrong about what goes on in someone
else's life, in someone else's mind. There could be torments even in the most beautiful and successful people or those whom we perceive to be
leading happy lives. You can only be sure of yourself, not anyone else.
