Came across this one online, and will be watching it in the next night or two. Might take it to work to watch, too. Terence Fisher's first film, also
happens to feature another Hammer regular, Andre Morell. Stars Jean Simmons and Dirk Bogarde.
Any opinions on it? I'm looking forward to it, as I love older films, b&w, and Fisher! Ben |

This wonderful picture wasn't exactly Terence Fisher's first movie - he made six others before this one. And it's the remake of a German movie,
"Verwehte Spuren", made in 1938 by Veit Harlan (yes, the director of "Jew Suss"...), with Kristina Söderbaum, Frits van Dongen, Friedrich
Kayssler, Heinrich Schroth and Paul Dahlke. The two movies are almost similar, and the action is located at the Parisian fair in both. It seems that the same
story was re-used even later, according to IMDb.
