Happy 50th Anniversary, 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD |

I know the film was released in December of 1958, but it was 50 years ago that Harryhausen was in his studio conjuring up these fantastic and indelible images.
To celebrate, I'll be posting some stuff I've done in honor of the film. Here's my first offering:

Thanks, Mirek! Here are some shots of three dioramas I made based on Harryhausen's pre-production sketches he did years before the film was even produced:

That cyclops is just terrific. Very cool.

Man that Cyclops perhaps looks better than the one from the movie. Awesome work again Jethro.

Thank you so much, Luis, but I don't agree. IMHO, the Cyclops from THE 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD is my favorite of all movie monsters. I've made models of
it dozens of times over and have never been completely satisfied with the results.
Here are some very small scale models I made from the film:

Howling Beast |

Jethro, I think the scale you are working in makes your models that much more amazing. The amount of details you pack in a 3 inch figure is fantastic.

I love that red Cyclops!

This is for all those fans of the Cyclops who just hated to see it lose to the Dragon at the end of the film:

Jethro, you should animate these and put them up on youtube.
