Yes Luis thanks! I am so angry at myself right now. I was in Wal-Mart a few nights ago and was browsing through the mexican bargain dvd section and came upon
what looked like a new budget double feature of Santo y El Blue Demon. The films were of a non-horror nature and from the 70's. I sure hope these
weren't titles that might have filled some holes here. I need to check IMDB. I definitely have never heard of these before and only $5! What a cheapskate I
am!
Anyway here are some screencaps from the aboved mentioned Santo vs. Dr. muerte. Definitely some sexy Mirta Miller, and many other familiar Naschy co-stars. Santo doesn't have too much to do here, but it's still a fun flick!

LA INVASION DE LOS MARCIANOS by World Media Marketing doesn't have English and French subtitles as I first thought this is Vol. 11 of the Santo Collection ("Coleccion Grandes Clasicos") series in which the first ten films did have English and French subs. In fact this release by World Media Marketing is nothing more than a reissue of the previous release under the "Cine Mexicano" series which can still be seen at the menu screen of the DVD the only thing they changed was the cover art work (I'll add a scan later) to fit their own series.

I like MARCIANOS a lot. I have the VCI disc, and the film is a lot of fun. Santo has a lot of great fights in it and plenty to do. I like the artwork on
these Grandes Clasicos discs.

In my search for Santo DVDs I ran across this suspicious release (see below) of SANTO EN ORO NEGRO on the cover you have El Hijo del Santo (who doesn't appear here) which clearly raises a red flag that this isn't a proper release I have no idea what label issued it does anyone have this or seen what company release it?

This is an Oxxo Films DVD. This is a reputable outfit that does release authorized material, although I have no specific info on this particular title.
(full disclosure, I have done some work for them before) Based on my knowledge of the company, they probably did get the rights. Curiously, when you search their site by "actor/actress," only MISION SUICIDA comes up for "El Santo." But if you look under the film's title, you will find ORO NEGRO. |

BTW take a look at this DVD (below) release of SANTO EN EL MISTERO DE LA PERLA NEGRA looks like it maybe be the work of Oxxo Films too.

Luis: you might also take a look at spanishmultimedia.com
They are a re-seller so should have DVDs from many different companies (except the dollar DVD guys). They used to be the Madera video label (in the old days) but now just sell other companies' tapes and DVDs. And, unlike Oxxo, their "actor" search function seems to be a little more accurate. |

gallegosh47 is an eBay seller whom I have dealt with numerous times. He ships from San Diego and I always
get my stuff very quickly.
He has both Mexican and U.S. material. Right now he has 25 auctions listed as "Santo and Blue Demon" (which includes other lucha titles as well). |
