Because I have been upgraded to Yuku, and therefore can, and also because my taste in music coincides almost exactly with the boardmaster's (this we have established many times before; it is almost uncanny), I have decided to start posting music videos from YouTube that you have probably missed. First up are Humpe & Humpe, the German sisters. The best song on their 1987 album SWIMMING WITH SHARKS is probably the haunting "No Longer Friends," but "Careless Love" is also outstanding. Unintentional? Let me put it this way: I had this planned long before I even planted the suggestion in your mind that you should post about Hitchens's waterboarding adventure. She is very politically correct and has certain radical views and was going on about the American Indians, and I said that I know of no American Indians who are famous scientists or noted-among-their-peers scientists. She responded that surely there had to be some. I challenged her to come up with someone like that, and I'm still waiting for the answer, about a decade down the line. Mirek

The "intense Iggy Pop/monkey guy" is Christian Vander, the founder and central figure of the band (which is still very much active). The "German leatherboy S&M freak with the mohawk/mustache combo" is Jannick Top, ordinarily the bass player. "De Futura," which was composed by Top, has the most remarkable bass riff. Unfortunately the sound quality in this clip is too bad for it to come through optimally.
