Am I missing something?Maybe, with the Blu-ray reputation for clear and bright picture, we have the impression that everything MUST be clear as daylight and perfect since it's Blu-ray. But they have to work with a particular print of the film, the technical limits of Techniscope and trying to stay true with the director intentions and treat lighting in the context of the scenes. Can you imagine a castle in the middle of the night, with no electric light bulbs, just candles ? It will look more like the "green" images in the test that Mirek did, compared to his alteration. It was an interesting test.

Every single capture I've seen so far has had a greenish tint to it. It's possible that the director wished this, but I somehow doubt it.Mirek

Based on the reviews I read and not ONLY on the screen captures I saw.You invented a colour, Mirek. HORRIBLE GREEN. Loll..Oh ! I just saw your captures bgart, the Anchor bay pic is in almost complete darkness. And I noticed that the passworld DVD is in the same HORRIBLE GREEN colour than the Blu-ray. It means that the colour is true. it's just darker for the Blu-ray. You said, bgart : "(which isn't full resolution of the bd image, it's been compressed)". So, we cannot judge on screen caps for the final word. Only for comparison to a certain degree.I'm pretty sure that when we'll watch the Blu-ray, it won't look as dark as the Blu-ray cap. Thanks bgart13.

If true, I am very happy to have held off on buying this sight unseen.
