A few minutes ago, at that 'place', a kind soul offered up a fandub of a Spanish tv broadcast which he synched to a doctored english track. No subs
for the Spanish audio ( yet ). From the info offered, it has extra blood and gore cut from the English print ( note 2 stakes in Damon in the screen, the
english print cuts abruptly after the first one ). I have to leave for the weekend but will be checkimg this out asap.
The first time I saw this it was mocked by a local horror host, and I thought it sucked as well. When I watched it a week ago, the cast really knocked my
socks off and it seems a fascinating mess and the issue of who directed what is also intriguing. Julio Salvador also wrote it, so maybe his credit on the
Spanish print is a legal / quota thing and Danton really directed? MPAA site says
Hannah Queen Of The Vampires (1973)
Atlas Films, Inc.
Edited for re-rating
Previously rated (R) in (1973).
Re-rated? Maybe there is an English print with all the gore? I have not seen publicity for this with the R, it may be out there too.
For now a few caps from the tv print...
