Dom, The best way to download stuff from YT is with a program called FREEMAKE It's free and all you have to do is click on "copy" on the Url at YT and then open FREEMAKE and click on "paste" It will also let you choose between making a DVD, AVI or MP3. It has the best PQ of all the free YT downloaders.

Movie is presented in its original image ratio (1.85). Running time: 86mns (Pal). Two soundtracks (Italian & French) but only French (removable) subtitles. It's the European version, but the two segments specially filmed for the American version (prologue, and alternate death scene of a character) are included as bonus, in a slighty inferior quality. This European version also contains scenes (mostly dialogue, but essential for the movie) cut off from US version, and a different prologue. The disc contains a 35mns presentation by Alain Petit, a diaporama of stills and trailers for other movies in the "Les Chefs-d'OEuvre du Gothique" collection. Camillo Mastrocinque's "La cripta e l'incubo / La maledicion de los Karnstein", with Christopher Lee, and Joe Sarno's "Der Fluch der schwarzen Schwestern", with Marie Forsa, are also released simultaneously. The first one has Italian & French soundtracks and removable French subs (and original 1.66 ratio), but the latter has French and original ENGLISH soundtracks, with removable French subs (and original 1.66 ratio).

So I guess I will stick with my composite version for now, and hope that the proposed American release from Fred Olen Ray, will be the lovely widescreen complete European cut with American prologue English language version we all seem to want. Pluse Italian prologue and Stinel;'s hanging scene as extras please! Fussy aren't we!
