I was browsing at Best Buy today and I saw some two-disc sets from Anchor Bay that combine some of their Hammer releases into handy double features. I noticed "Frankenstein Created Woman" paired with "...Seven Golden Vampires," "The Reptile" paired with "The Lost Continent," and one other that I can't quite recall. They were priced at $15.99, which is quite cheap, in my opinion.

Have read some internet scuttlebutt that this particular dvd still has problems even now. But I have been pleased with Abominable Snowman/Shatter and X The Unknown/Four Sided Triangle dvds. It's a good deal for $16, but they are simply the old discs repackaged together (the "Quatermass And The Pit" disc is one of those old single-layered, double-sided DVD's). No new transfers, no new bonus features, no new nothing. *Quote:* I have a few of these but have avoided the Frankenstein Created Woman dvd. Have read some internet scuttlebutt that this particular dvd still has problems even now. Yes, it seems Anchor Bay used left-over discs from the original pressing instead of creating new discs. I wasn't expecting a new transfer considering the niche value of these titles, but re-pressing defects-free discs from the previous master tape was the least they could have done with such a well-known problematic title.

A bad pressing that apparently causes both layers of the disc to deteriorate" with time. I had a bad copy (played fine the first few months and then died) which was promptly and kindly exchanged by Anchor Bay... for another bad copy!
