The other day I posted a note asking if anyone knew about some early China/Hong Kong horror titles (including what I think are all the horror films by 1930s/1940s Chinese horror director Maxu Weibang). Then I ran across a few others listed in Phil Hardy's horror encyclopedia. If anyone knows anything beyond what Phil Hardy had to say or (more importantly) knows how I might obtain video, DVD, or DVD-R copies of the films, I'd really appreciate it. Apparently there is one Taiwanese director who specialized in horror, Feng Pang, who did a 1974 Taiwan film called ALL IN A DIM COLD NIGHT (a horror anthology) and later two Hong Kong horror films, BLUE LAMP IN A WINTER NIGHT and HORROR INN. Other Taiwan titles include another anthology from 1970 called FOUR MOODS and a 1974 film called GHOST IN THE MIRROR. Other earlier Hong Kong horrors include BLOOD REINCARNATION (1974) and HOUSE OF THE LUTE (1979), PREGNANT BY A GHOST (1975). Does anyone know anything about these? These seem to be more obscure, non Shaw Brothers titles.
