Los Monstruos del Terror from good old SOMOS t.v. in Spain. The picture quality is better than any that I have seen and especially my crappy Dracula vs. Frankenstein vhs tape which is despicable! Maybe now I can enjoy this film minus the grief of previously mentioned vhs tape. Some screencaps. It appears that the same guy who did La Venganza de la Momia is responsible for this upload too. Picture image appears to be slightly squished. It's weird because the splash screen for the SOMOS channel at the beginning looks almost full frame with some minimal black framing at top and bottom. Then we get to the movie and bam! HombreLobo44

I've also never seen the film with the title in Spanish. I guess the squeezing can be manipulated, depending on the player one has. This is a film we rarely talk about here, but I'd dearly love to see it released on DVD, in fine quality, one day. I sense I may have to do another trade with you. Mirek

Mirek, I cannot lie, this looks really good with the exception of the squeezed look. Very clear and not a speck of damage. Maybe they are planning on releasing this in Spain soon. When it is done I'll be sure to send you a copy! Here are a couple of updated screens. Probably the worst of the Naschy makeup jobs for Daninsky. If this had been made just a few years later, that shirt was coming off baby! The hottest chica en the flicka! The big showdown spanish style! Well, he's no Boris Karloff, for sure. I just stumbled upon this. Occasionally I'll punch in a Naschy title in spanish to see what's out there. This just popped up and I jumped on it. It also helped that somebody took the time to post a comment and described this as excellent. Now if that uploader could stop fiddling with the aspect ratios, we'd all be happier! Still i thank him for this one. Much more enjoyable and not so cheap looking like my vhs choppy copy. HombreLobo44

I like this movie despite it's goofy nature and I sure hope someone issues a proper version soon.

A while back someone had asked Karin Dor pretty much why she agreed to be in it & she gracefully dodged the question by saying that while it is what it is, they had an awful lot of fun making it. And that Michael Rennie was convinced that it would never get released. Anyway, I've been researching Rennie's life & career & came across this. It's from Sheilah Graham's gossip column as seen in the European Stars & Stripes (and probably syndicated in other papers as well). It's not much, but I got a kick out of seeing the movie menitoned in the contemporary mainstream press. From April 8, 1969...

It looks nice on my laptop, so now I will have to burn it to a DVD-R and see how it looks on my TV compared to the widescreen LFVW DVD-R I have. Now if this Somos channel can get such a nice looking print, why can't someone release it to DVD? Brant

My laptop is missing an audio codec for Divx but I can't download it here. Govt. computers won't allow you to download and there is no other source for internet on this base. I can watch some movies, but without sound and others I can hear, but not see.
