Obviously, I'm a big fan of Naschy and I've been collecting and enjoying the excellent BCI DVDs over the last few months. I've read on another forum that BCI have decided to abandon the Spanish horror series (inc. the Naschy movies) due to poor sales. Does anyone have any further info on this?

I wouldn't say it's because of poor sales, but rather that the package was an expensive purchase for BCI and the sales do not justify going for another expensive package like that at this time. BCI still has some hope of acquiring that second package, however. My guess is that this would depend on the price going down. Mirek

Posts: 1478 (07/04/08 08:43:03) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	One way to actually help sales of these types of DVDs is to actuallky buy 'em from authorized dealers, rather then used on Amazon or Ebay. I understand people want to save a few bucks wherever they can, but there has to be paper/electronic trail of sorts going back to the distributer that these titles are actually moving. One can get these titles fairly cheap from Best Buy, and it leaves that trail I was speaking of, actually showing official support, so that DVD manufacturers/distributers get a fairly accurate idea of the market. Now, if it was the new Tom Cruise movie, yeah, I would say forget it and buy it from an overflooded market for $5.00 off of one of the Ebay stores. tom Cruise is going to generate a profit, regardless where/or how you buy your films, even if the film is considered a financial failure (which is another way of saying it did reach not projected profits, not that money was actually lost. Sort of like how the oil companies are now claiming, because less people are driving due to gas prices, they are losing money hand over fist, and have to continue to raise prices to compensate, when the reality is each quarter lately has been record breaking for them in profits, but if it doesn't hit the projected profit margin, they claim loss of money to justify raising proices).

Sorry I'm never around--the forum has blocked so many attempts for me to get back in!
