I found this montage on youtube, edited to the climactic song of 1776, which I was lucky enough to do in 1975. It's at the point where the dream of independence and freedom is on the brink of being smashed by bickering and congressional inaction.
It's a solo by John Adams, played here (as it was on Broadway and the movie version) by William Daniels, better known as the voice of KITT, the supecilious doctor in ST. ELSEWHERE, and (a distant third) the nerdy superhero, CAPTAIN NICE.
I think it's a rousing song, and a good video.
