I got to watch it tonight with English subtitles, found on CG. The film that has just finally gotten translated in english for the first time. It was a treat to watch. Unfortunatly the print of the dvd is not the greatest quality, but I imagine its the best there is at the moment. I'm fascinated by these Slavic Horror films and I will continue to look for more. -Ed

I think I might like Leptirica better. I've seen another, earlier gothic horror by the same director, Devicanski Svirka, which is also good. I would love to find more information about the director, Djordje Kadijevic, all 3 of his movies that I have seen are quite good gothic horrors that deserve much more attention.

Registered User Posts: 28 Jan 6 10 12:41 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Sveto mesto is available on regular dvd in Serbia, but the picture quality is not great: you should know that the film was made in 1990, and negatives of this Serbian remained in Croatia (Jadran film) where they were processed when the civil wars began in 1991. It means, before they are returned to Serbia it is difficult to remaster and make a quality copy of the film. There are no english subs nor extras on the disc.
