I'm Jeff, and I'm new here. I'm very happy to be a part of this great forum. I thought this thread would be a fun way to get to know some fellow members.
What is your pick for the most underrated Jess Franco film?
Mine is REVENGE IN THE HOUSE OF USHER. I absolutely love this film. It was made in the 80's, but feels more like one of his 60's or 70's films. The cinematography is gorgeous, nearly every shot is a knockout. As a big fan of his early B&W gothics, I think he does a great job revisiting that style and atmosphere in color. I've only seen the French version on the Image DVD, but I'd be curious to see any other versions out there.
Runner up would be DR. ORLOFF'S MONSTER. Great gothic horror film with a strangely poetic finale. I like this one more than THE AWFUL DR. ORLOF. Beautfiful B&W photography in this one.
What is your pick?
