Well call me a blue collar, working class kind of slug who enjoys a burger & fries with his Bach cello concertos. I am very mixed bag as I have samples some of the bounty and I have also wallowed in the grime of the pit dwellers. On one hand I respect those who have but on the other hand I also have a deep appreciation for those who have not. I do fear that this country is heading towards scenarios similar to say Mexico, etc. where there is such a small population of haves and such a large section of have nots. Scary. Looking at my step daughters possible college costs for A.S.U. I about dropped one in my briefs. The costs seems to have tripled the days when I paid $5,000 per year for school and board at Brigham Young University and that was a private school! How do we continue to turn out educated young people to add to the system when hardly anyone can afford it? Same goes with medical costs. Food. etc. Many of us are just plain being priced out of life and in many ways this just is not American at all. I think the bloat at the top of the pay scale has much to do with the widening gap between us all and something really needs to be done about it before we end up with a country not unlike that of the film Idiocracy. From that I suppose I am far more of a lefty than righty. If I were to vote now I would probably have to stay with Obama to be honest,. The knuckleheads being offered up by the Republicans make me ill and that would include Romney, who I once had some fondness for. At least in Obama I see some hope of a bone being thrown to the masses.
